Book

I've read several books on this subject but I liked this one because it gave good solid advice for protecting my kids. I encourage everyone to read it, even if you don't have children. Our society tends to be very ignorant of the facts in this department. Ok. I'm off my soapbox now.

Sleepover

Lydia had 3 friends over last night for a sleepover
Paige, Bree and Hailee
Breakfast

Paige fixed gourmet shaped pancakes, turtles, flowers, mickey mouse and everyones initials

Winding down before bed last night, watching a movie

Hailee shopping

Lydia and Bree trying to set up the Barbie house. Abby was not helpful. She tried to crawl thru the front door of the house.
It was a great time. We will definitely do it again.
Note to mothers: I'm not going to lie to ya. It's exhausting. I'm very thankful that I scheduled a nap this afternoon.

Play Date Fun

How cute are these play date girls??
Lydia has been begging for a playdate with her classmates Hannah and Layla.
Today we finally pulled it off.
It went great. Even their little sister got to come.

Tea

Would you like some tea?

The piano bench covered with a flowery beach towel makes a nice place to entertain fluffy friends

Glow

Last night we went to the Balloon Glow in Parsons. It was cool.
One of the balloons all lit up.

5 of the 7 of the balloons lit up. The reflection on the water was pretty.

This is a balloon partially inflated on the ground. This shows how big they are!

Side view of the one on the ground. You could walk inside it too.

This N' That

Lydia made a tent and was generous enough to let Abby get into it with her and eat her popcorn. Awww. Wasn't that sweet? Tents have a hard time surviving little sisters though. As you can see, it's barely up.

Poor Lydia. She has a very uncomfortable infection. We're two days into the medication so hopefully she feels better soon. She remains sweet even during discomfort, bless her heart. Here she is holding her breath for Dr. Han.

Check it out!!!! I have an awesome secret pal at church and she surprised me with these beautiful fall placemats. I love them.

Lydia placed Abby on this blanket and brought her her favorite toys

Josiah during yesterday's game. He's #23, in the center of the picture. Zach got this photo at the exact second he was turning. Great action shot I thought. Still kicking myself for missing the game. kick kick kick

Hair

Now you see it....

....now you don't.

Yep, she got her hair cut. I really miss the beautiful hair
but I DON'T miss the daily tears and screaming of combing out the
tangles. And on top of that was Lydia's tears and screaming.
ha ha

Dragon

My very own Dragon Pumpkin. Carved by a very special person, just for me. Thank you Zach!

Brushing

Abby loves to brush her teeth. If I didn't keep the door shut
she would go in there many times a day. The Dora Toothpaste is too cool!!!
